Good news YouTubers! We’ve compiled 5 of the top YouTube Tips for you to boost YouTube views and subscribers. Considering YouTube is one of the most powerful search engines on the planet and video marketing is growing fast, building your YouTube channel should be top priority. So without further ado, here’s our top 5 YouTube Tips.
YouTube Tip #1: Plan it
Have an action plan when creating your content. To be successful on you YouTube you need to upload at least once a week and each video should ideally be 8 – 12 minutes long. Your videos should lead into the next, creating a video playlist that you can share on social media. Identify the keywords that you want to target by using tools such as Tube Buddy, Keywords Everywhere or Google keyword planer. Look for keywords that are between 100-1000 searches per month and be sure to include them in your title, your description and throughout your video.
YouTube Tip #2: Tag it
Use 5-10 tags in your YouTube video plus buzz words popular in your genre. Another key tip is to google the topic beforehand to discover which video is dominating in your niche and use that channel name in your tags. This will increase the chances that your video will auto-play after that video and place you in the suggested videos.
YouTube Tip #3: Time it
The first 24 hours of posting your video are important – so choose to upload your video when most of your fans will be online. Produce a short teaser to post on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc asking your fans to watch the full version of your video back on YouTube. It may be worth spending a few dollars on Facebook, Instagram or google ad words during that window to promote your content.
YouTube Tip #4: Promote it
Create a contest! Asking your followers to watch your video to enter your contest or subscribe to your channel to enter to win. This is a great way to provide a little incentive to your followers on other social media sites to join you on your YouTube channel. Setting-up a contest with a tool like Rewards Fuel is quick and easy and the software keeps track of all your contestants ensuring they watched and subscribed. At the end of your contest you’ll see all of your contestants with the Rewards Fuel statistics tool, plus your contest creator will allow you to add additional entry methods to boost your social media accounts, newsletter subscribers etc.
YouTube Tip #5: Link it
Ask your followers to subscribe to your YouTube channel. Sounds pretty obvious right? Then don’t miss the opportunity to include the subscription link when sharing your channel’s url.
For example, rather than sharing this URL:
Share the link below, (add-> ?sub_confirmation=1) which automatically includes a pop-up asking your followers to subscribe.
